Audiência discute atenção e atendimento a pessoas com fissura labiopalatal no RN

O tratamento de pessoas que possuem fissura labiopalatal, conhecido como lábio leporino, foi tema de audiência pública na tarde desta terça-feira (29), na Assembleia Legislativa. Por iniciativa da deputada Larissa Rosado (PSDB), representantes de entidades que tratam sobre assunto e autoridades da área de Saúde Pública discutiram formas de se melhorar o atendimento às pessoas que têm o problema.

A fissura labiopalatal é resultado de má-formação durante o desenvolvimento embriológico do bebê, que implica o lábio, no palato (céu da boca) ou ambos. Caso nasça com o problema, a pessoa pode ter uma fenda no lábio, que pode se estender até à base do nariz, e também uma abertura no céu da boca, em que é possível observar o septo nasal, bem como as conchas inferiores e pode atingir o palato duro e o palato mole. Nesses casos, o canal nasal se comunica com o canal alimentar, o que pode gerar diversas complicações de saúde, além da estética. Por isso, o tratamento requer atuação não somente de um cirurgião plástico, mas também de profissionais de outras áreas. A necessidade de dar atenção a esse público foi o motivo da proposição da audiência pela deputada Larissa Rosado.

"Esse é um tema que precisa de atenção do Poder Público. Só as pessoas que têm o problema e seus familiares sabem sobre as dificuldades da situação. Um atendimento multidisciplinar é fundamental e é preciso que a população tenha conhecimento sobre isso", explicou Larissa Rosado.

Durante o encontro, representantes da Associação dos Pais e Amigos de Fissurados do Rio Grande do Norte (Apafis/RN) expuseram a situação do atendimento no estado. Explicando um pouco sobre o cotidiano das pessoas que têm o problema, que precisam de tratamento, em alguns casos, dos 8 aos 18 anos, o presidente da Apafis, Francisco Edivan de Oliveira Silva, explicou que é necessária a criação de um centro de excelência para o atendimento aos fissurados e também uma maior divulgação para o problema, fazendo com que as pessoas que têm filhos com esse problema informes às autoridades de saúde e não escondam as crianças.

"O Rio Grande do Norte é um estado que tem várias pessoas nessa situação e é preciso que elas saibam que podem e devem recorrer ao atendimento de saúde, que é mais complexo do que muitas pessoas pensam", disse.

De acordo com o coordenador de Saúde Bucal da Secretaria de Saúde do Estado (Sesap), Marco Aurélio de Oliveira, o Brasil conta somente com um centro de excelência no tema, que fica em Bauru, e também possibilidade de atenção em Recife. Segundo ele, atuam integradamente profissionais médicos, odontólogos, fonoaudiólogos, assistentes sociais e psicólogos. A Sesap, segundo ele, arca com os custos de todo o translado e sempre consegue as vagas para o tratamento. Contudo, o coordenador disse que é preciso que a população procure o atendimento.

"Essa notificação é necessária, mas muitas vezes as maternidades não fazem. É preciso que se receba o devido tratamento. Os cuidados devem começar a partir da maternidade. Não é só uma cirurgia plástica. Precisamos imediatamente criar em Natal um centro, apesar de que todos os pacientes que chegam à Sesap são atendidos em Bauru ou em Recife e a Sesap arca com o tratamento, que é caríssimo. Só não recebe o tratamento se as famílias não encaminharem", garantiu Marco Aurélio.

Segundo o diretor-técnico do Centro Especializado em Reablitação, Ítalo Moreira, há uma equipe muitidisciplinar, onde o paciente não precisa fazer agendamento para fazer o acompanhamento. São oito tipos de profissionais para fazer esse acompanhamento, com 12 especialidades médicas, odontólogos especialistas nessa situação, assim como psicólogos. apesar de não ser um centro de excelência, Moreira garante que pode ser prestado um serviço de alta qualidade aos pacientes.

"Não temos (um centro) como a sociedade civil nos pede, mas atende e dá uma assistência através das redes que existe. Se um cirurgião plástico não é possível, mas se pode ver junto à rede hospitalar essas cirurgias. Mas é preciso que nos procurem", afirmou.

No encerramento da audiência, a deputada Larissa Rosado se comprometeu a buscar formas de contribuir através dos canais de comunicação da Assembleia com a conscientização da população sobre o tema, assim como se manter à disposição para contribuir com os pleitos dos fissurados e familiares.
